Who we Are

We are a small local registered charity working with many service providers to ensure residents taking on a new tenancy or are experiencing financial difficulties have access to good clean serviceable secondhand furniture and household items

We are a registered CIO (Charitable Incorporated Organization),
we achieved charity status in September 2019 after running as a voluntary group since March 2017

Since January 2019 we have helped over 1000 families in the Portsmouth area alone

MOPP is a totally volunteer run project.

What do Mopp Do

We take donations of good quality secondhand furniture and small household items and working with many service providers by way of a referral process to ensure the most vulnerable residents can enter a new tenancy or uphold an existing tenancy without going into debt for replacement household items

We are a charitable incorporated organisation(CIO) and a registered Charity that work alongside many service  providers to help families or individuals that are experiencing financial  hardship whilst setting up a first time home or help  to replace household items if already in accommodation and experiencing  financial hardship.

We are supported by Portsmouth City Council who provide our storage units at a reduced rate to enable us to help others.

Whilst we are supported by Portsmouth City Council we receive no financial funding at this time so we depend on donations of furniture and household items by the public.
